Prepared for birth, empowered for life.

The Birth and Beyond Childbirth Education curriculum is unlike any other birth preparation course.  This is an all-encompassing series that covers a broad spectrum of material; much more material than your local hospital birth prep class contains! We begin with pregnancy wellness and navigate through all of the important, but often overlooked, aspects of birth.  Topics include setting up your labor and birthing environment, discussing the importance of partner support and recognizing how your birth partner is an asset to your labor, and reviewing what can be expected postpartum and in caring for your newborn.

See below for upcoming series being held in the community or schedule your private or online course today!

A listening ear, a beacon of hope.

The thought of seeking counseling can be overwhelming and scary; I'm here to ensure it isn't.  If at first we are not caring for ourselves, we cannot be expected to be available to care of others.

I provide a safe, judgement-free space that is yours.  In this space, you are free to speak about your own personal emotions and experiences.

Topics covered often include, but aren't limited to:

- infertility and pregnancy loss

- pregnancy

- birth trauma

- adjusting to new baby

- adjusting to changes in relationships after baby

- perinatal mood and anxiety disorders

- postpartum depression/anxiety

-child loss

I want to make the counseling experience as convenient and accessible, which is why I offer virtual and telephone counseling sessions so that you never need to worry about leaving your home or finding a babysitter.

Your baby, your body, your birth.

Many birthers have been told that they cannot have a vaginal birth after delivering previous children via a cesarean section.  This is not always the case! This workshop will give you all of the information needed to help you feel more informed about VBAC and help you build the foundation for the birth you desire, and deserve.

Full spectrum birth support.

As your Birth Doula, I am present to support you throughout your pregnancy, during active labor, birth, and postpartum period.  In your pregnancy, I will work with you to explore any concerns you may have surrounding your birth and helping to answer any questions you may have.  In labor, I am present to provide you with physical and emotional support and to reinforce the support that your partner and/or family is able to provide you.  I will assist you with different labor positions and utilize comfort measures to help labor progress. Postpartum, I will actively listen to your feelings and support you during your postpartum time as you adjust to life with your new baby.  It is important that you understand that as your doula, I am not a medical professional. The services that I provide should not be taken as medical advice and any concerns should be discussed with your medical provider.
